So, Mike had a meeting today and we were bored at home. His meeting was at the District Offices which just happen to be on the Town Square which is home to one of our "Splash Parks". These parks save our lives in the summer. They squirt water out of the ground which keeps the kids entertained and cool. This park has that and a river. I took the kids toward the end of Mike's meeting, along with a picnic, so that he could meet us and play for awhile. I didn't, however, bring swimming suits. Brilliant. I thought "oh, it'll be fine. The kids can just walk in it." Yeah right. Withing a few moments I realized that wouldn't be the case, so I sat Bray down in the middle of the water and let him drench himself. Anna quickly joined by laying flat down on her belly and Ty sat in the shallow water giggling as the water passed under his butt. Boys. We had a ton of fun, especially since Ty has Miss. Penguin, the class stuffed animal. Last time he had it we tried to burn down our house, so we thought we'd do something a little more productive this time. Miss. Penguin event took a dive into the water. Yep, she will once again be getting a washing machine bath tonight. We had a blast, and I think everyone will sleep well tonight. Welcome back summer!
