Ok, so this kid is hilarious and he knows it. If you haven't met this kid in person or haven't seen him for awhile, this it TOTALLY his personality. He keeps us laughing all day long!

Ty-bi-dy
My little man is rarely the center of posts due to the fact that I can NEVER be at his special events at school! It bugs me so I just want to post just about him for a moment!
First, Ty is SO dang smart! He one every award possible in his class this year for his brains (he does not take after his mom). He is at a 3rd grade reading level, he knows math like it's no ones business, and he is especially fond of history right now. He loves school and his friends. He is kind to everyone at school and LOVES, LOVES, LOVES his teacher (who is the MOST patient woman ever to walk the planet).
Tyson is a good brother. He always trys to include Bray even though it is very hard at times. He finds ways to keep his brother happy and really cares about him. He and Anna are close as well, though they fight like any sibling group would. He also gives some great hugs!
I think the best part about Tyson is his humor! He is figuring out what is funny and if it is funny the kid will laugh for days about it! He's figuring out the boy thing of farting (though Anna wins at that) and belching (now that's where he must take after his mom). Between Anna and Tyson the dinner table is often quite entertaining. We try to stop it, but when they can't help but let some gas bubbles loose, it can be hilarious. I know, poor parenting.
Tyson loves Star Wars, reading, playing anything that has to do with swords and saving the world, playing with friends, and he is even catching on to this eating thing. Not that he likes eating yet, but he's doing it- so there's some progress :)
I love you Tyson!

Happy #30 Mike!!
I love birthday's. Mike turned 30 this past Sunday so we had to do something special. He hates doing anything special in his name.....especially when it requires other people noticing that he's special. WhatEVER! If I had really wanted to make him miserable, I would have called all of our friends, had everyone buy black balloons, and surprised him in the middle of one of his classes. Now THAT would have been awesome! We still did something awesome just not so embarassing. His mom bought us dinner at Chuck-a-Rama and everyone met there before we got there. He had no idea. I came up behind him and blindfolded him then drove all over town so he would have no clue where we were, then led him into the restaurant. He was embarrassed- especially when he noticed a flash from a camera :) It was great. A number of us pitched in to get him a new grill since his old one busted and we managed to get a candle from the restaurant to put in a piece of cake to sing happy b-day. It was a lot of fun!
On his ACTUAL birthday, I got up and made him a very yummy breakfast and we relaxed. It was a fun day. Thanks for getting old Mike! I love you!
Anna's Dance Recital
Anna had her dance recital! I was pretty irritated that we had to pay out the nose for the tickets after paying for costume and lessons and everything else, but oh well.......it's worth seeing a cute little ballerina. These pictures are backwards, but they'll do! She was SO good! She had every move memorized and looked just beautiful! The first picture is of her at the end. Daddy went up and got her off the stage with a rose. Good job Juilanna!

Class Party!
I decided to have an end-of-year party this year. I had no money so I went begging to parents. Much to my surprise, in one week, parents and students donated just about $200 for a party!!!! So, I decided to go with an awards theme and bought a bunch of decor- including a red carpet and a cardboard cut-out of the "oscar". We had an awards ceremony where everyone received a "funny" award (Most likely to become a band teacher, Most Likey to laugh at the word "Ritardando", etc). It was great. My last class even gave some pretty creative speeches that were hilarious. They did the best "red carpet walks" as well. After the ceremony, we went outside and had some donuts and apple juice then kids either stayed and played outside or they went in and watched some Chip and Dale Disney Cartoons. We had a blast. These photo's will mean pretty much nothing to most of you, but for my sake I thought I'd post them :)
2nd period- my big, crazy class.
Matt was trying to "kiss" Oscar.

Anna's Graduation
Anna graduated from pre-school on Wednesday! What an awesome thing for her! Her teachers said that she is reading on a first grade level, that she has mastered addition and subtraction, and has started multiplication. Most important, they say she is a wonderful student and friend to everyone. We love our little girl! It was a great morning for Anna and Mike to spend together while I was at work. She had a very sad afternoon, however, when she got a bad stomach ache and threw up all over the family room. She slept for a few hours but had a fever at night. The next day she woke up happy and well. At least she was able to enjoy the most important part of her day!
Yum!
I made these for our Mother's Day dinner. They tasted great. It went well with the lime chicken, grean beans, fruit salad, and corn on the cob that we had at Kristas house. We had the desert with some vanilla ice cream. I had to take a photo because who knows when I'll make something this pretty again :)

Band Concert
My band concert was tonight and my kids did so great. We played 8 combined numbers and then there were 5 small student ensembles that played. We surprised my student teacher with a ton of Coke, a baton, and a homemade card. There was one rocky song because of the snares, but other than that, they really played well. I will miss them. I really love my students.

Onda Miller Bradshaw
Mike's dear grandma passed away last Sunday, May 2nd on her 84th birthday. She has gradually declined over the past 1 1/2 years. Even though it was expected, we are very sad. The funeral services were held yesterday. It was hard to be at her house without her there and to see his grandpa standing without his dear wife. She was loved so much by her family. One thing that was repeated many times in the service was in regard to her selflessness. She was a giving woman who loved people. She was the type that took care of everyone before herself. It seemed to me that she went about doing everything in a quiet manner so as not to draw attention to herself. She loved her kids, grand kids, and great-grand kids very much and we all felt it.
The first Thanksgiving I had with Mike's family was at her house. She was in the kitchen most of the time. I think she sat down only for a short few minutes the entire evening so that she could make sure everyone was eating something and to serve us. We all took turns telling the family what we were grateful for. We each had a little homemade place setting with our name on it and a leaf to write what we were thankful for. I was new to the traditions of Mike's family and I loved how every little detail was thought of and tended to. Mike's grandparents never treated me like a separate entity but immediately as part of the family. They were very welcoming.
I remember times when Tyson was a baby and she would watch him while we were at school or work. She would always take such good care of him. When I would come to pick him up, they would always be in the backyard playing or looking at the garden. One time, I didn't send any Desitin, and she made this homemade mixture of stuff instead. I was so impressed. She has made blankets for each of my kids and for us as well. She even made our picnic blanket.
I will remember simple things about her like her closed smile, the way she dressed, the way she wore her make-up, how she always would grab my hand, her positive and encouraging comments about food I would bring to family dinners, and her sweet comments about little crafts I would make or help my kids make for her.
I was only blessed to know her for the past 8 1/2 years, but she had a inpact of me. I know that for Mike- who has had her as part of his life for the past 30 years- misses her terribly. He has so many memories of her. My kids miss her as well- especially my little girl who's heart broke yesterday on the way home from the funeral. We went by the gravesite on the way out. All of the flowers were spread over the site and I took a flower for each of us. Anna held onto that flower and cried and cried until she finally fell asleep.
We love Grandma Bradshaw and we will miss her until we have the chance to see her again.

Mothers Day Tea Party
Every Mothers day for the past three years I have been invited to a "Tea Party" at the preschool we send our kids to. It has been harder this year to attend all of the kids activities since I've been working again. I couldn't handle the idea of Anna being the only one there without a mommy. I got a sub for the day and hung out with my beautiful Anna Banana. We sat on a picnic blanket, the class sang us songs and read us a book. Anna had both of her parts memorized (and for bragging rights I must mention that she was the only one that did). Afterwards, the kids all served their moms the foods they *thought* we liked (I got a whole bunch of cantaloupe). She did such a great job and I had so much fun with her! I have a great daughter that I love dearly. She lights up a room with her smile. Here are some pics of our fun:
