- We went to Salt lake after Christmas. It was cold :) We stayed with my parents for nearly a week and were able to do a few things that were really good for our family. My sisters, my mom, and the kids all went to the Aquarium. The kids loved it! It was really nice and a lot of fun for all of us.
- Mike and I were able to go to the Bountiful Temple. We were sealed in this temple and haven't been back to it since our marriage. While we were waiting to be married, we sat on a couch in the Celestial room for 40 LONG minutes until they called us in. We sat on that couch again for awhile and just loved having some time to spend together.
- We were able to take the kids to see my little brother, Nathan. He's had a tough time the past few years and we have not seen him for two years. He and I have kept in touch through occasional letters, but seeing him in person was so great! He had never met Brayden and that was so important to him and to me. The kids sang for him and played around while we visited. It was a great visit.
- Right before that, we went to Chuck e Cheese and played some games and ate dinner. It was a lot of fun.
- One of the last things we did was take the kids to Temple Square and spend time looking at the Nativities and touring the buildings. We went to the top of the Church Office Bldg. (a place I worked as a janitor in HS) and it was so pretty. We lucked out as the inversion had been blown out of the city from the storm the day before. It was such a clear view.
- That night (New Years Eve) we went with my family to a really cool restaurant and had a family style dinner where we each bought food and shared it with everyone else. We were nice and full. My sisters and bro-in-law made a cake and we ate it at the end of the dinner. Mike and I are losers when it comes to bed time, so we didn't stay up. We had our camera with us the whole time, but we were slackers and only got a handful of pictures. Here are a few of them...
