We love Valentines Day at our house. Our church is doing an activity in relation to V-day in which each family is given the name of another family to serve in some way for three days during the week. We have had so much fun doing small acts of kindness for the family.
The kids have really enjoyed doing their class Valentines along with the parties. Anna had 40 kids to do Valentines for and that also meant she received 40 Valentines- with lots of candy! We went and delivered all of her cards and treats to her friends the other day. It is such good weather here and it is so nice walking the neighborhood with the kids :) Tyson took donuts to school for his party on Friday and handed out his Valentines. He has a small crush on one little girl in class and wrote "I love you" on her Valentine. He was so funny about all of it. Cracks me up!
I bought a singing valentine for Mike from the choir at his school. A group of 4 students go and sing a particular love song to the person and if you want they take along a rose. I asked for them to take along an Applebees gift card and some Sparkling Peach Juice. The WHOLE choir interrupted his Percussion class and sang to him. Fabulous. He loved it and he was surprised- a hard thing to accomplish at this house. Today, he and the kids came home with a gift card to the spa for me and later tonight Mike and I are going on a date- though I don't know where. I'm excited.
Anyway, we are having a blast over here in our little life. Hope yours is the same if not better :)
