First, it's been FREEZING here and all over Utah. We even got a little snow. It was so cold that my sister's pipes froze and she came home from SLC to no working water and a freezing house. We have been cuddled in our warm house for the past week (but the kids are still in shorts). We just can't figure out how to dress for this kind of weather when it's normally 50-60 degrees rigth now.
As for the new year, we went out to Applebees with the kids, went home, then watched some movies and funny You-Tube videos. At 10 pm, we counted down with the kids, threw the confetti and blew the noise makers. Ty was so hyper that he bounced around and ended cutting the inside of his mouth with the noisemaker. That sent him into a down hill spiral and that's why he's not in the pictures. In case you're wondering, he's just fine now, is not bleeding anymore, and the skin that was cut will heal (though he was not convinced that would happen). Other then that, a fairly uneventful evening. None of us got drunk and Mike and I actually stayed up until 12 and watched the fireworks from our bedroom window.
