One down....11 to go

Yep, the last day of January. I had to at least write something. We don't have very much in the "good news" section to report, but hey, who cares.

Mike came home on Tues. shaking and feverish. He was sicker than I've ever seen him. Tyson started coughing a little, so we decided to get them both in on Wed. morning. Ty has Strep and Mike has, well, I think everything. I proud of him, though. He actually stayed home yesterday and today to take care of himself. That's odd, because usually, he gets really frustrated and still does everything like normal and stays sick twice as long. This one really knocked him out. He has seriously slept for two days. We even had some manly men come over yesterday to clean out our air ducts and Mike stayed curled up on the couch the whole time with a fleece princess blanket over him. No shame. Ty on the other hand has never acted sick for one second. He's as Tyson-like as ever. So strange.

On a positive note, we did make shrinky-dinks today. If you are not a shrinky-dinker and don't know what I'm talking about, let me explain. There is special paper you can buy called "Shrink Film" ( I got mine at Roberts Crafts) that you can draw on with permanent markers. You then put it in an oven for 2-3 min. on about 325 degrees and it, well, shrinks. Maybe it sounds stupid, but it's really fun, especially for kids. We made ours into necklaces.
