- The Festival of Kites- a much anticipated and much appreciated day of the year. In fact, I think our kids like it better than pretty much any holiday they know of so far (except Mothers Day, of course!). We went last year, and as soon as we left all we heard was "Can we go again tomorrow?", "When is the Kite Festi'ball'?" and, "Mom, we forgot to go to the Kite Festi'ball'!!".
- So, when we heard it was that time of year again, we were very happy to take the kids out in the heat and wind to enjoy the festivities. Oh, but one thing, it took about 2 1/2 hours for the wind to show up.
- In the meantime, we did what the kids really came for- the inflateables. No, not the Increadibles, but those inflateable slides, bounce houses, obstical courses and so forth. I have a slight problem with these germ infested, grim coated places of play, but once a year I fork out the $1 per ticket for the kids to play in these lovely inventions. $20 later, another $20 lunch of hot dogs and soda, a round of free games with prizes, a ride on a train, and the wind finally came. We rushed out to the golf course and got those kites in the air. It was a beautiful sight. The wind came so fast and hard, that our stroller was blowing across the lawn and we were being pelted by everyones everything. Ty could have cared less about the kites. He was finding treasure buried in the lawn. LOTS OF GOLF BALLS! Anna ran between helping Dad with our kite and Aunt Beth and Uncle Chad's dragon kite. We had a blast, then we came home and slept!

That looks like soooo much fun! Seeing your kids in shorts makes me jealous! Hope your feeling okay!
Hi Hayley. Of course I remember you. Thanks for saying hi. Your family is cute! It's fun to see everyone again through blogging.
Wish we could have come with you guys- volleyball is almost over and then I'll be a free woman. But by then, you'll have had little Brayden and you will be homebound FOREVER! We had fun playing last week, if you are free this week, let's get together again and let the kids cry.. I mean play!
