April has gone by fast! I hope May does the same. School will be out, Mike will graduate from Boston University with his Masters, Brayden will be here, and shows will start! Yeah for all of it! I'm not really looking forward to the heat, but who cares- it's the last thing to think about. (Until I'm playing in Les Mis and have to sweat through the show outside! Maybe I'l loose the baby weight faster!))
SO, speaking of the shows, anyone want to come this year? They're supposed to be great. Tuacahn is doing both "Les Mis" and "The Sound of Music" this summer, and then adding "Big River" to the fall shows. I'm playing "Les Mis" (as mentioned) and then will be rotating the horn part with 2 other people for "Sound of Music".
Mike opted out of doing shows this year. He has a big, unpaid job this summer of getting the two schools ready for fall. I'm sure we'll be living at the new Intermediate school. Unfortunately, the high school band room will not be ready by the time school starts and neither will the choir room. Yeah, who's bright idea was that.
As for the kids, they have big things coming up. Ty has his final school program this Thursday. He's been practicing his songs and has told us a few of the "top secret" things they will be doing. He has matured over this past year and I couldn't be more grateful and proud. I don't know if it has to do more with me staying home or him going to school, but maybe both have played a role. He's just being a great kid. Anna is in dance, as many of you know, and will be giving her last performance on May 13th. It is a performance for the daddies. I'm going to sub for Mike that day so he can go see his baby girl. It really comes in handy that we both have the same degree's and skills. Anna is SOOOO excited.
There ya go. Our little update. LOVE YOU ALL!
