My Husband is the Best!

A very worthy tag. It's about husbands. You may do it if you wish, but I am not tagging anyone.


What is his name? Michael
How long have we been married? 6 yrs
How long did we date? We dated for 5 weeks and were engaged for 5 1/2 months
How old is he? 27 (almost 28)
Who eats more? It's a toss-up right now with the pregnancy and all, but under normal circumstances, he does.
Who said I love you first? He did. He was sure of everything long before I was. It took me a few weeks to know what was going on.
Who is taller? Mike. I love it!
Who sings better? He says I do. We both sing for fun, though we both feel rather insecure about our talents in this area.
Who is smarter? Yeah, no brainer- Mike. I ask him questions like there's no tomorrow. He loves to read about everything and has an answer for everything.
Whose temper is worse? I don't know. We both can get mad at times, but we don't ever yell or anything like that. We really don't fight much at all, so it's hard to say.
Who pays the bills? Mike has been, but we have agreed to start paying the bills together as a couple
Who does the laundry? Mike has been a saint this pregnancy and has done the lions share of the laundry. I do some of it when it is needed during the week.
Who cooks dinner? Um...if it's not spagetti, taco's, or of the grill, then it's me. I really like cooking though, so most of the time I don't mind.
Who drives when together? Mike. I like to drive, but with my brain status, Mike gets a little nervous that I'm going to have a seizure and wreck the car, so he insists. I still think I'm a better driver though!
Who is more stubborn? Oh, that's a toss-up. We are both pretty stubborn. We have gotten better over the years.
Who is the first to admit when wrong? Neither of us would at first, but now, that would be me. Mike doesn't like to be wrong so he really hates it when he is.
Who wears the pants in the family? Depends on the issue. We sort of follow the typical roles we are currently in.
Who mows the lawn? Mike does. He loves having a yard and caring for it. We both pick the weeds and do the gardening.
Who kissed who first? Mike kissed me in a park one night after one of our performances in college.
Who asked who out first? Well, Mike asked me out first, but it was sort of a gamble for him. He knew that I lived with another girl he'd known before his mission, so he decided that he would ask out the one that answered the phone. I guess I was the lucky one!
Who proposed? It was sort of a mutual decision. We were in his room one night when we decided to get married. We even looked at dates right then. Now that I look back, it was very unromantic but we didn't care. We sat down together and picked out the ring, then we went to a park and he proposed. Not the best story, but I think we would do it the same if we hade to do it again. It's just the way we are- very planned out.
What is my favorite thing about him? Just one thing, huh? I can't pick just one. I think he's the best person for me. We have a great relationship. I love that he loves me and that he is a good daddy to our kids. I love his dedication to everything he does, especially when it comes to our family and the Lord. I am so glad he loves music and teaching as much as I do. We get along very well and he keeps me grounded.
