What Rules?

O.k., so our sweet kids ALWAYS follow rules, right? Well, we honestly tempt them too much. We have a kid size, Winnie the Pooh card table that we set up sometimes. This time, I had it up so I had a place to put our laptop when teaching French horn lessons. Well, the kids know they are not allowed to sit or stand on the table. The first night, I was gone and when I came home, Mike told me they had been standing on it and Ty had fallen and scratched up his belly. He had cried and we hoped that had taught some kind of lesson. NOPE! The next day, I was doing dishes when I heard a massive crash followed by a scream. I ran in to find that the leg of the table had bent and collapsed. Ty and Anna had been jumping on it. Anna was so beat up and she was sooooo sad. Her leg was hurting so much that she didn't even realize her face was bleeding. Here's the day after picture. I still don't think they learned a lesson, but I have. It's called "Put the table away!"

Oh, My! I can totally relate! But I have learned that no matter how many times you TELL them the rules, they always learn faster when they get hurt! Kids! Go Figure!
