That Festival thing

Here's a sample of what I've done all week. We started on Monday and this week completed the vocal, string, and piano solo and ensembles. There were 6 sessions on Monday, 3 on Tuesday, 5 on Wednesday, and 2 on Thursday. Each session lasts about 2 1/2 to 3 hours and a judge sees anywhere from 15-30 kids (depending on the level of the students). The string and piano students were divided into levels (beg, inter., and adv.). We had 268 piano students participate, 111 string students, and 55 vocal students. Next week we will have one session of dance, and the following week we will have all of the bands, orchestras, choirs, woodwinds, brass, and percussion perform. My next step is to identify the scholarship winners and plan the awards night set for March 6th. The hardest part about this week has been having a sick baby. I have left a lot of the work up to volunteers who have kept things running while I've taken Brayden to get RSV treatments twice a day at the hospital. Anna had a hard time on Monday and Tuesday so I ended up having two kids tagging along during the sessions. It was ok, but my stress levels are sky high right now.

One of my favorite adjudicators with a very prepared student.

Another one of my favorite adjudicators taking time to work with a duet.

This lady came twice to help. She kept one of the doors to a performance room closed while students took turns playing. She also kept tabs on the students who had performed (so we could stay on schedule).
