Easter Egg Hunt

Ok, so because my life is so dull and I never have anything to do, I always go looking for trouble. Not really, I guess I just secretly like adding more to my plate, but since I just told you that, it's not really a secret anymore. SO, my Visiting teaching Trio (if you want to know what that is, ask me later) decided it would be fun to do an Easter Egg Hunt for our kids. This was about a week ago. I decided it would be fun so I took it on. Kristi Zohner and her daughter Jessica agreed to help. I made some invites and called people, but the more people I called, the more people I thought of to call. I didn't want anyone to feel left out so I just spread the word around our church members and it started to grow. I called some friends and some of Mike's cousins and we got a very good response. I asked everyone to drop off a bag of candy at my house before yesterday so that I could get prepared. Kristi came over today and we stuffed eggs and then the three of us (me, Kristi, and Jessica) spread all the candy out and hid some eggs. There were 150 eggs in all and TONS of candy. I thought for sure there would be a lot not found or left for our lawn mower to enjoy. BUT, as it turns out, we had SO many kids come that they found EVERY SINGLE PIECE! It was cute and so easy to put together. I've done a lot of parties for kids and this was by far the easiest and most fun. First, we invited kids WITH a parent to come. Yes, I'll throw the party but I will not be responsible for watching 30 kids. Second, I asked everyone to bring the bag of candy. Very low cost to me and everyone else, too. Third, I set ground rules: no throwing rocks and only younger kids on the play equipment. Then I put the kids in age groups and let them go. Here are some pictures..... Waiting for everyone to show up. Gary was the target of the fun. Thanks Gary!
Setting rules before we began.

Lettin' em go.
Tyson looking very tough.
Anna- way too excited. She filled that basket up fast. Looks like the Easter bunny doesn't need to come this year (yeah).
The big kids running for the loot.
Some of the kids stayed for awhile after to play. What a nice little event. It only lasted 30 min. Short and very sweet.
