I love my two year old. He pokes, hits, and bugs his sister to death, but when he's not doing that, he's the sweetest and MOST enjoyable child. He hugs and kisses me all the time. He comes up to me and asks to "hold you" just because he wants to cuddle. Tonight I was playing on the floor with him. He reached up and asked "hug"? I told him I loved to hug him. Then I whispered that I also loved to kiss him. He stood straight up and he said "love to tickle"! So the next ten minutes I tickled him. He loves playing children's games and he, Anna, and I played Duck-Duck-Goose this afternoon. Anna always makes up other words for Duck and there's usually a theme to the words. Today was hot dogs. So she went around saying catsup, mustard, buns, hot dogs, etc until she hit goose. It's so funny because she giggles about it the whole time. Bray gets up and says ducky head and never really says goose but just starts running. If two other people are up running, he gets up as well which is really funny when there's only three of us and all of us are running in a circle.
I love the smell of my kids when they get out of the bath, love watching them discover new things, when they teach me how to be a better parent, how they play with their friends, watching them do amazing things at school- not only in academics but in how they treat their friends and teachers. Two neighbor friends came over today and they were here at lunch time. We decide to just feed them and Mike and I just laughed as we listened to the conversation at the table. Non-stop giggles, Tyson trying to be the clown, Bray trying so hard to join in on the conversation and the kids being very gracious to him (letting him be in their "clubs" and such). I realize I have great kids. I am a lucky mom and a lucky wife.....because I have a great husband as well.
