My Little Dancer!

Anna auditioned for the Nutcracker a week ago today! There were 22 little girls trying out for the parts of the Baby Mice (so cute)! I really wasn't sure how it would go because we had to take her out of the audition early to make it to Cedar in time for our show. I put her hair in pig tails, bobby pinned her bangs back (poorly) and we went to the studio. A number was pinned on her and I looked around to find every little girls hair put up in a beautiful bun.....except Anna's. She didn't care but I wondered how much it would affect the judges....especially since we were pulling her out early. Anyway, we got done and, being relatively new to this whole dance thing, I had no idea how we would hear about results. I didn't hear anything after a few days so I figured she didn't make it. No big deal. She understands what an audition is and she is still young enough to not get upset about it. Then, on Wednesday, I get a message telling me when the Nutcracker parent meeting is. What? So I called and sure enough, Anna had made it and I just hadn't known that the results were posted at the studio. So, our little Anna will be a Baby Mouse in this years production. She is so thrilled and we are starting to understand why boys are cheaper than girls :)
