Saturday Pancakes

My dad always made us pancakes on Saturday mornings. I am not good at this and neither is Mike. We have to get up at 6 am every weekday so on the weekends we take advantage of our sleep in time.....even if it is only until 7:30. I woke up yesterday thinking about how my dad used to make pancakes in the shape of the first letter of our names. I wanted to do that (though it will never be the same without my dad doing the cooking while The Smurfs is on Sat. morning cartoons). The kids loved it and it was a great start to a fun day. We went to Gryn's b-day party after and then Mike's first parade of the season was last night. I forgot the camera or I would have gotten some smashing pics of him in the band uniform marching sousaphone with the kids. It was great!
